Modular greenhouse for Glynn Vivian Art Gallery designed and built with Jemma Jamin and Karina Kolesnikaite, students of the Centre for Alternative Technology, part two architecture senior lecturer and architect Gwyn Stacey.
I have been a visiting lecturer working with the students of the Centre for Alternative Technology focusing on social engaged practice for architects working with the students on place based workshops since 2020.
This green house is a community tool where groups have grown chillies and tomatoes for projects as well as natural dyes for workshops. It forms part of a longer term programme to look at the future of the garden of the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery as a new outdoor space and useful community resource.
Design and construction leads Jemma Jamin and Karina Kolesnikaite.
